COLUMBIA, MD, May 6, 2003--The Ninth Annual Equal Business Opportunity Awards were held on April 22 at the Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarksville. More than 150 people attended the breakfast gala to witness this year's stars receive the recognition they deserve. The awards program, hosted by the Howard County Economic Development Authority's Equal Business Opportunity Committee, recognizes the outstanding achievements and leadership by members of Howard County's diverse business community. Awards are presented in five categories: Outstanding Business Achievement Star, Outstanding Company Commitment Star, Outstanding Individual Achievement Star, Outstanding Individual Commitment Star and Rising Business Star. COLUMBIA, MD, January 10, 2001--Betty Myers delivered a seminar entitled "Be a Survivor: Building Personal Alliances" at the joint meeting of the Risk Management Association (RMA) and Financial Women's International (FWI) held at the Great Room in Savage, MD. During the highly interactive seminar, participants discovered strategies to broaden their network, learned how to approach potential alliances and how to enhance their sphere of influence.

MYERS PRESENTS SEMINAR FOR BUSINESS WOMEN'S NETWORK

COLUMBIA, MD, March 17, 2000--Betty Myers, president of Kaleidosystems, Inc., presented Taking Creativity to the Next Level at the Business Women's Network (BWN). The March 15th event was a well received presentation to over 70 people. BWN is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in the business community.

In this presentation Ms. Myers taught participants how to access the 99% of the brain that typically remains unused. Ms. Myers shared techniques for enhancing creativity and intuition and offered exercises that bring forth greater imagination for problem solving.

MYERS SELECTED TO CONDUCT A RETREAT FOR THE UUCC

COLUMBIA, MD, September 30,1999--Kaleidosystems, Inc. has been awarded a contract to design and implement an adult education retreat for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia, Maryland (UUCC).

The goal of the retreat is to help attendees discover balance in their careers and other aspects of their lives. Myers will focus attendees on integrating mind, body, and spirit.

MYERS DELIVERS A WORKSHOP FOR SOUTHEAST UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST

COLUMBIA, MD, August 23,1999--Betty Myers recently delivered a workshop called "Healing Through the Archetypes" for Southeast Unitarian Universalist and Summer Institute (SUUSI). The participants were encouraged to concentrate on their abilities and interests in order to learn more about themselves.

The participants said that, "Myers created a very safe, encouraging learning environment." They were so encouraged that they endured 100 degree weather with no air conditioning, and they stated that they would recommend the workshop again for the future.

KALEIDOSYSTEMS' PROPOSAL ACCEPTED BY SOUTHEAST UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST

COLUMBIA, MD, August 6,1999--Southeast Unitarian Universalist and Summer Institute (SUUSI) has accepted the Kaleidosystems, Inc. proposal, "Healing through the Archetypes."

Through this proposal, the company will attempt to help participants understand the three stages of growth for individuals and how each stage can be used to harness new approaches to self healing.

KALEIDOSYSTEMS PLANS SEMINARS FOR PROFESSIONAL OUTPLACEMENT ASSISTANCE CENTER

COLUMBIA, MD, July 21, 1999--Betty Myers, president of Kaleidosystems, Inc., will be planning seminar ideas for the Professional Outplacement Assistance Center, a state-funded job service for professionals located in Linthicum, Maryland.

MYERS CONDUCTS A TEAM-BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR UUCC

COLUMBIA, MD, July 13,1999--Betty Myers, president of Kaleidosystems, Inc., recently designed and implemented a team-building workshop for the annual leadership retreat for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia, Maryland (UUCC).

With the goal of defining the characteristics of a "high-performance team," the participants can utilize those characteristics and become an effective team. Myers divided the 13 participants into teams to highlight these characteristics. While divided into teams, each participant thought about characteristics and commonly-held aspects of high-performance teams. Myers observed the communication within each group and across the teams.

KALEIDOSYSTEMS CONDUCTS A FACILITATOR'S WORKSHOP

COLUMBIA, MD--Betty Myers, president of Kaleidosystems, Inc. has recently facilitated a workshop which the company custom-designed to train 18 facilitators at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia, Maryland (UUCC).

The UUCC's goal was to get the opinions of 300 members regarding the strategy to take in order to improve the current facilities. To accomplish this after Ms. Myer's training programs, the facilitators presented information exchange sessions which were hosted at various members' homes in order to explore a variety of options regarding facility improvements.

KALEIDOSYSTEMS CONDUCTS AN ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR

COLUMBIA, MD, July 13, 1999--Betty Myers, president of Kaleidosystems, Inc., recently conducted a seminar in conjunction with the Chesapeake Bay Organization Development Network to help organizational development professionals explore the topic of measurable results of intervention and how to address client needs for such measurement. The presenters offered specific examples and case studies of intervention measures.

KALEIDOSYSTEMS CONDUCTS A MASK-MAKING SEMINAR TO HELP PARTICIPANTS' SELF-DISCOVERY

COLUMBIA, MD--Betty Myers, president of Kaleidosystems, Inc., recently conducted a mask-making seminar at a "creative weekend getaway" to help participants creatively explore their personalities, self-knowledge, and spirituality.

Specifically, Ms. Myers and her husband, Don Myers, taught participants how to make Plaster of Paris gauze masks on each other. Each participant decorated his/her own mask. A video was presented exploring the meaning of masks and how they are used in indigenous societies to express people's personalities. Ms. Myers says, "Using such a creative tool really makes self-discovery fun and eliminates the normal barriers of traditional self-discovery seminars."

MYERS CONTRACTED FOR INDUSTRY SEMINAR

COLUMBIA, MD, June 29, 1999--Betty Myers, president of Kaleidosystems, Inc., recently delivered a seminar on "Effective Conflict Management" at the American Psychological Association (APA) in Washington, D.C.

"The seminar opened the attendees' eyes to help them understand why their ways of dealing with conflict were ineffective, while assisting them in making new choices," said Ms. Myers, who applied a "new" thinking strategy of emotional intelligence to conflict management. Her goal was to instill a deeper awareness of their emotions--people control their own emotions.

Attendees walked away with a greater understanding of conflict management. One attendee said,"The facilitators were knowledgeable, supportive, and amiable."

MYERS SELECTED TO DEVELOP CURRICULUM AND STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR ERI

COLUMBIA, MD--Kaleidosystems, Inc. has been selected by Estate Recovery Inc. (ERI) to guide the organization in strategic planning and develop curriculum for ERI managers and employees. Myers will use a creative approach in developing the curriculum and strategic planning that will engage participants and align organizational goals.

KALEIDOSYSTEMS HOSTS JOINT WORKSHOP WITH LEE FINANCIAL ASSOCIATES

COLUMBIA, MD, February 11, 1999--Betty Myers, president of Kaleidosystems, Inc., will be hosting a seminar in conjunction with Lee Financial Associates on Thursday, February 25 from 6-8:30 pm.

The seminar, to be held at the offices of Lee Financial Associates, LLC, in Ellicott City, will explore communication styles, the human personality, and "sources of energy" to assist participants with personal and team development.
